”So I'm going to try to explain this movie to the best of my abilities. The reason I say this is because it's so long, that it's hard to describe it in just one sitting but I'm about to try.”
In “The Batman”, Bruce Wayne has been Batman for only two years, so in other words... He's very early into his crime-fighting career. In this movie, The Riddler has been murdering several Gotham City Officials and been leaving clues for Batman, or Vengeance as most people would call him, anyway once they catch The Riddler, the movies still not over because The Riddler had planned to get arrested so that these small bombs he planted all over town would explode causing the water pressure to rise and kill everyone in the city... Eventually Batman & Catwoman & Commosiner Gordon (kind of) save the day, except for the whole town getting destroyed, but for the most the part everyone survived... After all, this happens there's a small teaser where The Joker, is sitting in the cell next to The Riddler and speaking to him, perhaps maybe sparking the plot for the sequel... After that, the credits roll, and the movie ends. I know I left out a big, big chunk of this movie, such as the conflict between The Penguin and Batman, the complicated relationship between Commissioner Gordon and Batman, and the whole thing with Alfred (Bruces Butler) almost dying... It's just too much to cover in one film review, I hope you still enjoyed it though!”
“Now, I only have two major problems with this film...... Number 1, it's too long... Not so much the length of it, but I feel like it could have been cut down a little, like on a particular scene where Batman is chasing The Penguin in a car, at first I found it very entertaining, but it just lasted too long for even a car chase scene, it seemed like at least five minutes of the Batman driving after him, slowing down and speeding, slowing down and speeding up, and that went in an endless loop until he finally did catch up to him, which took way to long for anyone to sit through, another example is a little past the hour n’ a half mark, it seemed like the movie was ending, but then more happened, which usually I like when movies do that, but the way it was executed here was just not right. They chose to do this three or four times throughout the entire movie, which wasn't necessarily a bad idea... It was just done too many times to enjoy, It was still pretty good though! Now, Issue Number 2 is not as important, it's just something little I noticed, but I didn't so much like how Bruce Wayne had absolutely no personality, sure, his parents were murdered when he was younger but Christain Bale’s “Bruce Wayne” had a pretty decent personality, and so did Michael Keaton, and every other Batman actor did too... So that annoyed me a little, the only scene where Bruce Wayne takes action is when he rescues a child from getting hit by a car, by an elected state official, who was tied up and forced to do that... This movie was pretty good and On-point as far as knowing how Batman should act and what he would say, but I just thought Bruce was to “Personality Ridden”. Other than those particular problems I liked the movie, some complained that it was too dark, but I think it was the perfect amount of darkness and violence for any Batman film... Considering he's a character that's been through a lot. This film is what Superhero Movies should’ve been in the 90s, but the Entertainment Industry might have been against that.”
“My Rating: 8.5/10... Pretty Good Movie!”
